LAYOUT
Assemble and publish information resources, content, forms, documents, reports from layout structures and specifications, using content and resource queries, as well as automated layout templates and user interface tools.

LEXICAL OBJECT
A synonym for name.

LIBRARY
A resource collection bank. DNAOS supports resourcedocument, web sites, and application (e.g. portals) libraries as logical grouping structures.

LIFECYCLE
The sequence of resource life and existence stages. Resource and application life-cycle span the inception, design, development, implementation, testing, deployment, operation, maintenance, upgrade, recycling, and retirement phases.

LINGUISTIC OBJECT
A grammatically allowable construct in a language. [ISO TC97/SC5/WG3 TR 9007 (1982)] Often a synonym for linguistic expression.

LINK
A resource's direct reference to another Resource. Link meta-data typically have label, reference, multiplicity, binding, default value attributes.

LOCATOR
A reference to a resource location, e.g. URI/URL/URN, with access queries, e.g. using XPath, XLink, XQueryXQuery, SQL.
